Job Description

Overview

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support daily supply chain operations. This position will be responsible for scheduling shipments, managing fleet and warehouse activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to efficient and timely product movement. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between internal departments, external carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure a seamless logistics workflow.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure logistics activities and environmental services align with company quality standards and meet all regulatory guidelines.
  • Supervise field drivers (including those operating tankers, roll-offs, and dry vans) and administrative logistics staff.
  • Coordinate and manage both inbound and outbound freight schedules to maintain service excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with vendors, transportation partners, and internal teams to support order accuracy and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Prepare and review all shipping-related documentation such as bills of lading, manifests, customs declarations, labels, and packing slips.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing operational improvements to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
  • Manage records and logistics for hazardous and universal waste transportation.
  • Use logistics systems to input orders, track overdue deliveries, and produce relevant performance and operations reports.
  • Monitor transit progress and communicate timely updates to all stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve routing strategies and shipping methods to reduce expenses and increase speed.
  • Interpret logistics data and KPIs to propose improvements that support broader business objectives.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination
  • Proficient in logistics platforms, shipment tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DOT and RCRA regulations
