Stepdown/Tele RN — Deaconess Henderson (AUTO OFFER)

• Location: Deaconess Henderson, KY — 12-hr Days (6:30a–7:00p), 13-week contract
• Hours: 36 hrs/week guaranteed (48 hrs optional, OT after 52 hrs)
• Start: 6/30 or 7/14 — bi-weekly orientation
• Requirements: Active compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; 3+ years RN experience with at least 1 year Stepdown/PCU & 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience: Strong Stepdown/PCU background — must pass Tele test and have recent EPIC charting experience
• Skills: Tele/12-lead EKG, insulin/heparin/cardiac drips titration, stable vent support (BiPAP), chest tubes, CBI, drain care, stable gtts (lasix, protonix), blood product administration
• Float Policy: First to float within skillset — may float to Deaconess Newburgh & Gateway campuses (~8-11 miles), 2-hr notice for cross-campus float
• Schedule: Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday required
• Scrubs: Navy blue — no logos of other health systems
• Patient Population: SDU & Telemetry patients — sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, dementia, surgical (urology, abdominal, ortho)
• Unit Details: 10-bed SDU & 15-bed Tele, 1:4–5 nurse-patient ratio on days, strong experienced team & supportive environment
• Notes: Teaching hospital — may require precepting new-hires/students; no local candidates within 40 miles; AUTO OFFER for qualified candidates.
