Aechelon Technology, Inc.is a leading producer of 3D simulator content, including Geospecific visual/sensor databases and realistic 3D models. We are looking for Senior UI/UX Designers to help us in our mission to make pilots safer. The UI/UX Designers role is to be a key contributor in the design process to craft user experiences that enhance our platforms usability. Whether its content creation tools pipelines, our web-based UI interface to our simulator, or our internal tools chain, youll own the end-to-end design processfrom ideation to polished prototypes. Youll work closely with customers, product managers, and field support staff to shape the overall look, feel, and usability of our products.

The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technologys South San Francisco Headquarters.

United States citizenship required due to restrictions on access to certain data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research the needs of external and internal users to deeply understand their behavior while also working with product managers to understand the business needs. Be able to translate any findings into actionable plans.
  • Develop process flows, wireframe mockups and prototypes that describe a users experience through a workflow.
  • Build and maintain a style guide and design guidelines across company products and platforms.
  • Guide engineers during development and drive testing and iteration with users to deliver finished solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles that you can demonstrate through past work in the form of a portfolio, website or any other relevant link.
  • Expertise in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
  • Ability to work with export controlled technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with defining and influencing UI/UX strategies across a cross-functional organization.
  • Experience with UI/UX design for map-making and geospatial tools pipelines.
  • Experience with UI/UX design for 3D content creation pipelines.
  • Experience working in web UI frameworks such as React, Vue, orFlutter.110

$110,000 - $182,000 a year

The above range is specific to CALIFORNIA and may not be applicable to other locations. The pay scale for this role is between $110,000 - $182,000. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
