As a Senior Social Media Manager, you will lead the strategic development and execution of integrated organic and paid social media initiatives to drive measurable brand and business impact. This role requires deep subject matter expertise in social strategy, performance marketing, and influencer partnerships, paired with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and external partners toward innovative, high-performing social solutions.
Strategic Content Leadership
- Lead collaboration with internal teams and creative partners to develop social-first content that reflects brand identity and campaign priorities.
- Strategically manage the editorial calendar, incorporating brand storytelling, product launches, influencer content, and cultural moments.
- Define and evolve tone of voice, platform best practices, and visual direction across content types.
- Translate brand and campaign objectives into actionable creative briefs and social executions.
- Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior team members and external partners.
Paid Social Strategy & Performance
- Own the paid social media strategy across platforms including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, X, and emerging channels.
- Set clear objectives for awareness, traffic, conversion, and lead generation campaigns, and ensure alignment with business KPIs.
- Oversee campaign setup or collaborate with media buyers to execute and optimize campaigns.
- Apply best practices for targeting, segmentation, testing, frequency, and creative formats.
- Implement and manage tracking pixels and tags to ensure accurate attribution and performance reporting.
- Deliver strategic optimizations and performance reports that connect social investment to business outcomes.
Influencer & Creator Strategy
- Design and manage influencer programs that align with brand voice, campaign goals, and target audiences.
- Vet, contract, brief, and oversee creator partnerships, ensuring high-quality content and timely delivery.
- Track content performance and provide insights that inform future collaborations.
- Collaborate with legal and brand teams to ensure usage rights, disclosures, and compliance.
Platform & Community Development
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on platform trends, tools, and innovations.
- Evaluate emerging platforms and recommend when and how to engage based on brand opportunity.
- Lead community growth strategies through a combination of paid and organic tactics.
- Provide strategic guidance on content cadence, engagement tactics, and audience retention.
Reporting, Insights & Optimization
- Develop and present performance reports with clear takeaways and actionable insights.
- Track and interpret KPIs such as CPM, CTR, CPC, reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth, and conversions.
- Build dashboards and post-campaign recaps for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Use data to inform real-time optimizations and long-term planning.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in social media marketing, with proven expertise across both organic and paid.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong experience with social ad platforms including Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Pinterest Ads, and YouTube/Google Ads.
- Deep understanding of audience targeting, testing strategies, tracking pixels, and conversion funnels.
- Experience managing influencer programs from strategy to execution.
- Skilled in developing social content in collaboration with creative teams and managing agency/vendor partners.
- Proficiency in tools like Sprout Social, Later, Dash Hudson, or similar.
- Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to balance creative storytelling with performance analytics.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, lifestyle, or CPG industries.
- Familiarity with influencer platforms like CreatorIQ or GRIN.
- Comfort with light editing or design (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools).
- Understanding of integrated marketing, paid search, or programmatic is a plus.
- Experience reporting to or presenting insights to senior leadership.
