Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation Site and more .

As an armed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and responsibly handle approved weapons. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment through visible presence and proactive engagement.
• Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state regulations.
• Must have a valid active .40 Caliber license for the state of California.
• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet company driver policy requirements.
• Must have a valid armed sidearm and be able to acknowledge and comply with all firearms requirements.
• Must be able to carry and use handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton as part of the armed designation.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
