**About the Role:**
Are you an experienced 401(k) plan administrator looking to take your career to the next level with a growing organization? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retirement Plan Administration Consultant to join our team. In this role, you'll serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients, offering exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely completion of important tasks. If you're passionate about professional development and ready to make an impact, this is the opportunity for you!

**About Us:**
We are a dynamic, professional services firm providing third-party retirement plan administration for companies sponsoring Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and 401(k) Plans. As we expand our retirement services, we are looking for team members who are eager to contribute to our continued success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Client Service & Consulting:**
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, answering questions and providing ongoing support.
- Offer recommendations for plan improvements and help clients understand their retirement options.
- Welcome new clients, introducing them to our services and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner in all client interactions.

**Plan Administration:**
- Perform key compliance testing for plans, including coverage, nondiscrimination, top-heavy testing, etc.
- Calculate employer contributions and reconcile trust accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare government reports, compliance statements, and other necessary documentation.
- Interpret plan document provisions and coordinate with other service providers such as financial advisors, auditors, attorneys, and payroll teams.
- Stay updated on the latest retirement plan regulations through ongoing research, training, and professional development.
- Process transactions such as loans, distributions, RMDs, QDROs, and more.

**Operational Growth & Support:**
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement within the company.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve our processes and enhance our work products.
- Offer support to colleagues and contribute to internal projects and resources.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects that drive the success of the organization.

**What We're Looking For:**

**Skills & Abilities:**
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Strong aptitude in accounting, math, and analytical tasks.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- A drive for professional growth and continuing education.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Experience & Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of experience specifically in 401(k) plan administration, including compliance testing.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics, or Statistics).
- Possession or pursuit of professional certifications like QPA, QKA, AKS, or APA is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel skills.
- Ideal candidates will be located near our Maple Grove office, but we're open to remote candidates as well.

**Why You'll Love Working Here:**

- **Competitive Salary & Benefits:** We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, HSA (with company contribution), 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental leave, and more.
- **Career Growth:** We believe in supporting your professional development through education and certification assistance.
- **A Fun, Supportive Culture:** We work hard but also value having fun! Enjoy quarterly virtual happy hours, monthly birthday celebrations, and annual social gatherings.
- **Get Involved:** Join one of our employee committees—Charitable Action, Employee Engagement, Communications, Process Improvements—or volunteer for special projects. You'll have plenty of opportunities to make a difference.
- **Community Impact:** As part of our team, you'll have the chance to engage in charitable activities through fundraising and volunteer efforts.
