Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director and Manager, this position is responsible for patient transportation to and from all departments throughout the hospital. This position maintains the safety and cleanliness of all patient transport equipment and assists with other related duties.

Required Qualifications:

CPR certification required

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hospital experience
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Lifting: Raises or lower objects from one level to another; turns, positions or lifts patients. Talking: Expresses ideas by means of spoken words.
