Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required. ***U.S. Citizenship Required & Must be Eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period of time***

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems with department users and department network administrators.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Subject matter expert (SME) In one discipline/field and developing working knowledge In adjacent disciplines/fields.
• Develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies.
• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts In the field.
• Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires In-depth evaluation of variable factors.
