We are looking for fiber optic testers and splicers to work in data centers in the US. Expenses paid. Pay increases as your skill level increases, starting at $21/hour. Responsibilities You will test and troubleshoot dark fibers. You are responsible and able to work without supervision. You actively communicate with analysts and other technicians to resolve the issues you have found. You will be working with tools like OTDRs and fiber splicers. You are traveling to data centers at various locations, renting a car, and staying at hotels near the data center. Time on location is typically 1-2 weeks. Qualifications You have some experience using any type of meter, and you can identify racks and servers. Understanding of fiber optics and networking is a bonus. We are also seeking experienced full time or part time fiber optic testers with OTDR and splicing knowledge. You will be gone for up to 2 weeks at a time, and need to live within a reasonable distance of a commercial airport. You are willing to learn. You will be authorized to work legally in the US, and a passport is a plus. You need a valid driver's license.
