Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Entertainment Wardrobe Specialist to join our Entertainment team. This position reports to the Entertainment Director. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing the wardrobe area for efficiency and speed; assigning, documenting, and recollecting wardrobe items of an approved design to entertainers at wardrobe check in and out at events; working closely with performers in distribution and styling of costume elements, props, footwear, and accessories during show run, rehearsals, preparation, and show changes; fitting performers to costume sizing suited best for body shape and size; providing feedback on personal appearances and recommending grooming changes if required; ensuring quality and final product of each look before deployment using an 8-point checklist; assisting team members with quick changes; repairing, cleaning, and prepping wardrobe for shows; making alterations or mending wardrobe items when approved; maintaining costumes, footwear, props, and accessories; maintaining a safe working environment; maintaining documentation and participating in rotation of duties; and proper cleanup, repack, and storage of wardrobe items at the end of each show. Expectations include fast pace, attention to detail, cooperation, teamwork, time management, initiative, stress tolerance, independence, dependability, and complex problem solving. Qualifications include a diploma in fashion, textiles, costuming, production arts, or at least 3 years of relevant experience; practical skills in hand and machine sewing; ability to style and recreate looks from photos or descriptions; hands-on knowledge of repairing costuming, accessories, and footwear; good interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows; experience in entertainment, theater, theme parks, or live events is a plus; some travel may be requested; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; ability to stand for long periods; tolerance for loud noise and busy environments; willingness to travel frequently during holidays, evenings, and weekends.
