JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop circuit and control concepts
• Architect, design, implement, test and debug electrical systems and products
• Analyze and design power electronics for stack management
• Develop interface circuits to control brushed DC motors, BLCD motors, solenoids, valves, variable speed fans and compressors, and igniters
• Use a variety of lab instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, IDE"s, programmable DC power supplies and loads to evaluate fuel cell system performance
• Design interface circuits for thermocouples, flow meters, and shock sensors
• Apply industry best practices for EMC design
• Supervise third-party EMC testing
• Redesign PC boards and deploy countermeasures to pass EMC trials (both emission and susceptibility)
• Develop hardware conforming to MIL-SPEC standards
• Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer (BSEE, MSEE or MSc)
• Hands-on experience using design and calculation software
• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
• Experience designing and analyzing analog circuits as well as digital systems with embedded microcontrollers
• Skill in interfacing with power electronics both for stack management as well as controlling electromechanical elements such as brushed DC motors, BLCD motors, solenoids, valves, and igniters
• Experience working with lab instrumentation and interface development for a variety of sensors such as thermocouples, flow, and shock sensors
• Skill in SMT rework and the ability to occasionally solder under a microscope
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment
