Our facility located in Newark, CA is looking for a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join our team!

The role of the Controls Engineer is to identify, install, and maintain automated assembly systems. As well as apply basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operation including concepts of power distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and operate automation equipment and processes
• Troubleshooting and programing robotics and control systems (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley-Ladder Logic, Studio 5000 Factory Talk)
• Design, build and troubleshoot electrical panels, control panels (i.e. low and high voltage)
• Explore and implement new ways to automate systems
• Lead and close small process improvement projects that relate to manufacturing process, manufacturing equipment, and the operator interaction with the automation system
• Train the manufacturing operators on the interaction between manufacturing process and automation

Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent education: minimum of 3-5 years experience and demonstrated success as an Electrical/Controls Engineer
• Experienced with PLCs, AC/DC drives, VFDs, Robotics, and HMIs
• Working knowledge of automated assembly systems
• Understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operation including concepts of power distribution
• Strong project management skills
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with industrial electrical tests, operate or troubleshoot
