Medical Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)
$18–$22/hr | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | No weekends
We’re seeking a versatile and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our patient-centered outpatient clinic. This is a unique opportunity for either one full-time or two part-time Medical Assistants that are bilingual (English and Spanish), whose schedules can complement each other to cover a 40-hour workweek. Position Overview
This role blends two types of Medical Assistant responsibilities
#1 - provider support (rooming patients, injections, procedures)
#2 - triage/admin (follow-ups, prior auths, charting).
We're looking for someone flexible and confident in floating between both depending on clinic needs. We work with a number of part-time healthcare students, so we especially value team members who are adaptable and ready to jump in when gaps arise.
Key Responsibilities
Provider-Side Medical Assistant Duties
Room patients and take/document vitals
Perform and teach self-injections confidently
Administer IV infusions and A1c tests
Place and manage CGM sensors; download glucose meters
Assist with procedures and chaperone when needed
Prep referrals and coordinate with other providers
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
Maintain clinic flow with accuracy and speed
Interact with pharmaceutical reps as needed
Triage/Admin Duties
Handle patient follow-ups, callbacks, and prior authorizations
Triage patient messages and relay to appropriate team members
Review and update charts, labs, pharmacy info, and PMH
Scan/fax documents and manage electronic charting
Assist with preparing exam rooms and maintaining cleanliness
Support front and back-office coordination as needed
What We’re Looking For
Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred)
Strong injection skills and confidence in teaching patients
Experience with triage, charting, and EMR systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, think critically, and work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to be a team player and support a positive work culture
Spanish/English bilingual is a strong plus, but not required
Schedule & Pay
Full-Time: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Part-Time: Flexible scheduling options; must collectively cover a full 40-hour work week with another part-time
