Position DescriptionBurke's seeks an Assistant to the Athletic Director to help support our robust Upper School athletics program by collaborating closely with the Athletic Director. Responsibilities for the school year fall from August to May.Job Responsibilities include:Assisting Athletic DirectorCollaborate with Athletic Director to review league schedules and calendars to create game schedules for each teamTake over primary responsibilities of the Athletic Director when out for professional development or other reasonsCoach one team per season (three seasons in a school year); we offer volleyball, basketball, and soccerAssist in coordinating needs of teams and team practices:Distribution of uniformsSet up for practices such as putting up or taking down volleyball netsHelp supervise morning practicesCommunication:Organize communication for parents/guardians of student athletes so they are aware of practice and game schedules as well as carpool needsUse the schools LMS system to input information into the calendarSupport the organization of parent carpools to get players to away games and competitionsRequirementsBelow are the personal and professional qualities that we believe are important for the success of the person in this role.
