Remedy Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Meter Assembly & Spray Technician for a well-established manufacturer in the Erie area. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical assembly, spray painting, and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Description:


The Meter Assembly & Spray Technician is responsible for assembling and customizing mechanical meter units and accessories, preparing materials for shipment, and spray painting finished components. You will use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to cut, thread, install, and tag parts. Additionally, you will assist with clerical shop tasks and ensure materials are handled and stored safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move partial and fully staged orders to designated work areas
• Assemble accessories including gear plates, counters, transmitters, and valves
• Cut thread and bend rods using hand tools
• Read and follow blueprints, order forms, and log cards
• Spray paint meters and accessories in spray booths
• Tag meters and accessories accurately
• Replenish stock bins and maintain parts inventory as directed
• Operate hoists, lift trucks, and jitneys to move large parts and assemblies
• Clean and maintain spray equipment and work areas
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE

Requirements:

• Experience with mechanical assembly and/or spray painting preferred
• Comfortable using wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, and threading dies
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job instructions
• Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces regularly
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, chemicals, and paint fumes
• Must be able to wear a protective spray mask and other PPE as required
• Occasional clerical tasks may be assigned

Work Environment:

• 95% manufacturing/shop floor, 5% office tasks
• Exposure to high-pressure equipment, heavy lifting, paint overspray, and field/shop traffic
• Fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Pay Rate:


$21.75/hour (Hourly Position)
